*this* is an amazing concoction. after shooting with maggie, I went home and made this immediately. it was worth the wait, the daily stirring, the little tastings, and when it was done – it was so amazingly delicious. great to sip on its own as an aperitif but we both really loved it with some prosecco too. I found a ratio of 1/2 each a nice balance. read about maggie’s adventures and poignant thoughts along with the recipe over on eat boutique.

I use simple syrups quite a bit and this is a new favorite…and maybe perfect on a nearly-spring day like today in a glass of green iced tea. hop on over to the Style Me Pretty Living blog for my recipe, cheers!

I love maggie’s spin on classic cocktails…and this sip is a real star. her version of french 75 is the best that I’ve tasted and the recipe is over on the snippet & ink blog, cheers!
p.s. see the adorable handmade dishes? these petite little gems are coming soon to the shop on eat boutique but in the meantime, hop on over to see some of her stoneware, they’re all on my “want” list

this was one ooey gooey chocolatey mess. and it was so delicious to just look at and then of course, sip after. a hot chocolate bar is a great idea for grown-ups, spiked with your favorite poison, or without for the kiddos. recipe by maggie over on Snippet & Ink!

of course I say that all of the cocktails that I shoot with maggie are on the top of my list, but this Orange Rosemary Spritz is truly a year round favorite. I’ve played around with different variations and this works really well for winter with the addition of the rosemary – looks pretty and adds just the right amount of herbaceous aroma as you sip. maggie tweaked my recipe and you can see it + download the hand-illustrated recipe card on snippet & ink, and also peruse over at the Eat Boutique blog too, cheers!

this great sip is one of my favorites to have shot with maggie…I’m typically not a rum drinker but she married the flavors in this so perfectly, that since our shoot it has been my ‘fall into winter’ go-to cocktail and perfect to whip up for guests all while looking like a master mixologist. with 5 more days to go, you have plenty of time to grab the fixings and make a practice round too, cheers!

’tis the season for stemware filled with holiday cheer so it’s a perfect time to share this cocktail – a ginger bourbon fizz [and here is where you can download the pretty nifty recipe card]. this is one of my monthly cocktail shoots that I do with maggie of eat boutique for snippet & ink…it’s the perfect marriage – maggie creates, I shoot, then I add to my arsenal of recipes. this is very similar to one of my favorites that also uses the smoked bourbon sugar, which is pretty much to die for especially when paired with the thyme. keep an eye out on the S&I blog as another delish sip is posting this week!

a maggie-created eggnog with a little kick…over on snippet & ink, cheers!

…and don’t miss the recipe for SMP’s signature drink, a pear ginger fizz with a rosemary garnish. simply festive. great for a holiday celebration or in my opinion, any day in-between, cheers!
