pear ginger fizz

…and don’t miss the recipe for SMP’s signature drink, a pear ginger fizz with a rosemary garnish. simply festive. great for a holiday celebration or in my opinion, any day in-between, cheers!

now that a very busy & amazing wedding season has come to a close, I’m kicking off a winter of blogging with my shoot with the lovely team over at Style Me Pretty. they produced *the* most incredible thanksgiving spread complete with an e-guide on how to hostess your holiday with style & grace. don’t miss all of their DIY projects too…the faux coral candlesticks [above] was my favorite and I now have them [after one messy evening that I navigated with a tall cocktail] gracing my dining room table…so simple + sweet.

fig & melon…what a combination. recipe for this martini, by the lovely maggie of eat boutique, over on snippet & ink, cheers!

Light & Truth is a pretty fabulous periodical targeted to the photographer…amy + richard of Red Leaf Studios are the dynamic duo behind this magazine and both are very talented shooters too. I am honored to have been featured again – this time to talk about my approach to shooting on-location or in the studio for floral [+ food!] work, starting on page No. 33.
…and below are some of my favorite images from this shoot – from an afternoon of playing with light + flowers with the talented becca of Petal Floral Design.

a wedding day is a flurry of emotion, activity + scheduled formalities…though my favorite moments are almost always found, in the in-between.

head on over to snippet & ink for another maggie concoction…we teamed up to create a series of wedding signature cocktails but this great sip is equally enjoyed on a lazy summer’s day too. more cocktails to come, so stay tuned…and in the meantime, cheers!

when the buds + blooms in the garden are ready for picking + the *perfect* vintage tray has just been found, a photoshoot can be moments away. I admire talent like becca of petal floral design with her clippers and in her rubber wellies, who can breeze through a garden and pull together a pretty in record time.
